These terms apply to the Ortho Homunculus website and app (the "Service"), operated by Ortho Homunculus ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service is an educational reference for medical students, residents and other health professionals. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose, treat or make decisions about any patient. Classification systems, measurements and "normal" ranges are summarised from published literature, vary between sources and populations, and may be simplified, incomplete or out of date. Always verify against the original publications and use your own clinical judgement. Nothing in the Service creates a doctor–patient relationship.
The 3D models, 2D diagrams and measurement overlays are illustrations. They are not to scale, are not derived from any individual patient, and must not be used to measure or plan treatment.
© 2026 Ortho Homunculus. All rights reserved. The Service, including its software, text, illustrations, visual design, and the selection and arrangement of its content, is owned by Ortho Homunculus or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. "Ortho Homunculus" and its logo are trademarks of Ortho Homunculus.
Classification systems, eponyms and measurement methods are the work of their original authors and are named and described here for education and commentary. Third-party material, including the anatomical bone models, is used under its own licence and remains subject to that licence; see Notices.
You may use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial education, and you may show it during teaching sessions provided Ortho Homunculus is credited. Unless we agree in writing, you may not:
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the open licences listed in Notices for the third-party material they cover.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Please give accurate information. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Features available to guests and to signed-in users may change.
If you send suggestions, corrections or other feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ortho Homunculus will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on the Service, including any clinical decision. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the previous twelve months, if any.
We may update the Service and these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact form.

The Service stores your preferences (such as 2D or 3D view and guest choice) and, if you sign in, your sign-in session in your browser's local storage. It does not use advertising cookies. You can clear this at any time in your browser or by signing out.
Only to provide the Service, run accounts, reply to messages and keep the Service secure. We share it only with the service providers that run the Service (Amazon Web Services) or where required by law.
You can ask us to delete your account or messages, or ask what we hold about you, through the Contact form.
The Service is intended for adults in medical education and is not directed at children.
We will update the effective date above if this policy changes.
